Adidas by Stella McCartney

adidas by Stella McCartney has launched a new T-shirt range as part of the Adidas DryDye global initiative, which aims to produce ethically-conscious clothing using a water-free process – known, appropriately, as DryDye.

The label has pledged its support to the cause following the revelation that the equivalent amount of water from the Mediterranean Sea is used in order to dye the world’s clothing every two years. DryDye works to reduce the need for water in the process – which uses pressurised CO2 instead of water.

The effect for adidas comes by way of a batwing cap-sleeve scoop-neck T-shirt.

“It’s been incredibly exciting for me to work with and have access to this amazing new technology that uses no water at all in the process. The sustainable message behind it is very important to me and I hope to work with it more in the future,” says Stella McCartney.
